I’m not a big fan of fire. It’s not exactly a fear, but I am generally very cautious around it. Blame it on my Mom, who is very VERY careful with fire…even though she seems to burn an inordinate number of candles for a woman with a wee-fear of fire.
Anyway, for my birthday a dear friend gave me the cutest little BBQ to use on my even cuter not-that-little terrace. It was really a darling, thoughtful gift (and I love presents!)…but, let’s be real, the chance of me lighting a fire on my wooden terrace was pretty slim. But, dear friend arrived on Tuesday evening ready to rumble…so after a quick trip to the Night Shop (think Party Store) to get some charcoal…we were off and running. We grilled (okay….I’ll confess…dear friend did all the grilling) some pork, veggies and even a banana with some chocolate. It was so much fun. And delicious!
Just for the record, a giant bucket of water was right next to the BBQ in case of emergency! (That's right Mom, you didn't raise no fool! heehee.)
