The reward? A cone of the famous Maison Antoine frites. Usually I play it safe and either go sans sauce, or pick good old ketchup. But tonight I decided when in Rome...errrr... Belgium......and ordered 'avec mayonaise, svp'....oh yes, you read that correctly. Mayonaise. I've tried it before, with one or two fries dipped in delicately...but tonight I went full-force and let her squirt the mayo right on top. It was pretty....well........DELICIOUS!
Don't worry....I took the long walk home in some sort of futile attempt to cross-cancel the health effects of such a choice. ha!

aww, I just had lunch there today. but unfortunately the walk back to my office is entirely not long enough to work off that much grease. But oh was it good! So glad you are a mayo convert!

mmmmm... Maison Antoine.... I remember it well. I've even attempted to make 'Belgian Fries' state-side... the secret is apparently in the double-frying. Not AS good as Antoine's, of course, but GOOD!
