Yesterday was World Water Day. Friends in Brussels brought attention to the issue through various activities aimed at raising awareness and raising funds for five additional wells in the village in Malawi that we visited last September.
Of course, I wandered back in my memory bank (and photo files) recalling the days on the trip where we barely had enough water for ourselves. I remember taking a tiny sip, even when I wanted to take a giant gulp. And to this day, pretty much every time I fill up my water bottle, I am reminded of what a privilege it is to have access to safe clean water.
