Movies in my mind

One great thing about the little RenCen Y is the view of the river front. Last night I was warming up on the elliptical before heading into pilates...iPod on shuffle with Norah Jones singing "Humble Me"...and my mind wandering to the folks on the Riverwalk framed by the windows. There was a couple sitting on this bench--arms around each other as they enjoyed the mild fall evening and the last minutes of daylight. Did they wait all day for this moment together?

There were some runners putting their all out there--perhaps one of their last training runs before the Detroit Marathon this Sunday?

I was piecing together my own versions of their stories in my mind. And then a friend walked into the scene and it was back to reality...and off to pilates.

Speaking of pilates, this new class is kicking my butt--in a good way. You want to talk about humbling? You should see me trying to get my legs over my head using only my abs!
