Literally in my house. More specifically, my entire kitchen. On Tuesday night, I was rushing around getting ready to zip out to my guitar lesson. I grabbed a box of soup—have you ever had Trader Joe’s Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper soup? So yummy!—out of the refrigerator to heat up a mug to slurp down on my way out the door.
Shake shake shake. Only the top wasn’t closed.
Red splotches of tomato soup went everywhere. Quite lovely, if not a total mess!
I quickly wiped up all the surface areas splotted with red. But the wool runner on the floor is something to be reckoned with…I’m trying to decide if I just pitch the rug and get a new one for $20 at IKEA…or spend $50 to take the splattered rug to the cleaners?

why oh why do they always do that? It costs twice as much to fix things than it does to replace things...so it makes it really hard to not create more waste in our landfills...argh!
I once blew up a pan of lasagna by placing the glass pan on a hot burner on the stove top. I was scraping noodles and cheese off my ceiling for hours!! I feel your pain!
My vote is to go to IKEA...you never know what else you may find there that day. It could be the whole reason behind your soup splat incident :-) If not...it's fun to shop anyhow.
