She called last night just to tell me how much she enjoyed the aimless ramblings…maybe you might too?
It’s rainy this week. No complaints, I suppose, because it was pretty gorgeous last week. But it’s definitely one of those weeks that you don’t want to be caught without your umbrella.
Speaking of umbrellas, my colleague got me a GIANT umbrella from the EPP-ED. I begged for one from the Green party, but guess he thought that’d be bad for my image.
I can handle the rain because next Thursday I’ll head down to the south of France for the much anticipated viewing of the lavender fields. Trying not to get too excited, but I have dreamt of seeing them for years. A friend from Brussels and I will head to Paris, meet up with Sumreen and take a train to Avignon…then the adventures will begin.
Speaking of adventures, lots of comings and goings here in Brussels. Folks that I didn’t even know existed in the universe a few months ago, I now feel privileged to call friends…and celebrate the steps they’re taking to live their best lives wherever that might be…Bosnia, London, Brussels and beyond.

I’ve been a bit of a slacker on guitar practice. Next week, I’ll have my last lesson with Antigoni for the summer, as she’ll head off to Italy to lead a workshop for most of August. It’s been a real treat studying with her these last few months. That’s all for now….my colleagues are all chatting in Flemish (I think about the recent burglary at our office). Flemish still cracks me up.
Well, should get back to work. right after I find a double shot of espresso….this cup of black tea is not cutting it.

How did I NOT know you were learning the guitar?!
Was simply wonderful watching fireworks with you last night girl. We seem to have these romatic rendezvous often... ;)
