Life's Pleasures
Last Friday, dear friends and I went to the Detroit Institute of Arts to see the Ashcan School exhibition. The Ashcan artists painted scenes of urban life and seemed to capture the vitality of life in late-20th century American cities. Here's one depicting some neighbors hanging out together in New York...
