This afternoon I’ll hop on a plane to my nation’s capital to catch up with Sumreen. The last time we hung out was before she left Paris in June, so I’m definitely excited to catch up with her on this side of the Atlantic. Wonder if we’ll have brunch next to any famous people?!
I’m also hoping to catch up with a sweet friend from high school. Jen and I can never manage to be in the same place at the same time. For example, all the years I was out of state, she was in Michigan. And as soon as I moved back to Michigan, she moved out of state. Now she and her husband are settled into the DC-area and expecting twin boys literally any day now!
Unfortunately, dear friend Shawna, who recently moved back to Washington with Jay and Sweet Pea, is back in Colorado for the weekend. Hurting my heart! But we’ll find a way to connect soon, somehow…I just know it!
I also need to get to Williamsburg, Virginia at some point to see the place that is commemorated on the one-and-only coin in my precious coin collection…and visit Dick.
Of course, for me at least, no trip to DC is complete without a visit to the Lincoln Memorial. So hope to see him there too!
