A wee bit of homesickness

Last night I walked to the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music to hear a guitar recital given by six of the Master’s students there. The Conservatory is located near the Sablon, a wonderful area of the City filled with lots of window shopping and people watching. (It was great to realize how close my apartment is to the Sablon. So far, the location of the apartment is grand! It feels very central to the office, to a hip-eclectic area, to the lovely Sablon and all points in-between—even when one gets turned around quite frequently.)

The guitar recital was definitely a highlight of the week. Partially because I hope to take lessons with the professor there or at the very least have her connect me with one of her students with which to study. It was also so much fun just to set foot in the conservatory, briefly imagining myself as a serious student of music. And it was just lovely to sit listening to the sweet sounds of the classical guitar.

But it also made me a wee bit homesick…starting with missing my guitar...and ending with missing you!

I'm glad you were able to find your way to the school!

That's so great that you got a little taste of what's in store for you when you bring your guitar back next time.

The D is definitely not the same without you! : )

miss you!
