Sad. That's how I feel this morning as I skim the Detroit newspapers online and read the articles about Mayor Kilpatrick. This quote from City Council President Cockrel in today's Freep sums it up well:
"...Cockrel told the Free Press after Wednesday's meeting. "I love the mayor. I do. I like the guy. I'd like to see him succeed because when he succeeds, Detroit succeeds.
"But he's got to stop taking it so personal. He has to stop playing the role of victim. And he has to step up and admit responsibility for his actions and be willing to hold himself accountable for his actions.
"When I hear him describe what he refers to as the Kwame Kilpatrick roller coaster, let's not forget that it's a roller-coaster ride of his own making."
