In a rather interesting, no one could have seen it coming, twists of fate, I quit my job with the Senate Democratic Caucus and decided to hang out with Jane & Bill's then almost two-year old son.
Yep, that's right. This only child with absolutely no childcare experience was entrusted with the daily care of one of the most amazing, precious toddlers ever. (Of course, now that he's a teenager, he'll probably cringe to be described that way!) So we'll save sweet Colin stories for another day.
I'm thinking of Jane and Bill today because in addition to being just amazing people, friends and mentors to me personally; they also taught me a lot about walking-the-talk of eco-living. (You can thank them for the 12-inch TV that I won't give up.)
Jane and Bill had an awesome plastic bag dryer in their kitchen. I have a real love/hate can't live with'em, can't live without'em relationship with Ziploc baggies. So when I spotted one of the bag dryers in a catalog, I made sure Santa had it on her list.
I have my first bag drying now. Love it!Love you guys in Madison too!

that bag dryer is so cute! As an alternative, my family always uses a tea kettle to dry bags. Have you checked out the podcast Simply Green? It's got tons of great tips for being green
