Slow(s) Down!

Yesterday, my coworker and I decided it was a good day to bust out of the office for lunch. There is an awesome BBQ place in Corktown called Slows. It’s so good that I even crave their vegetarian fake-meat!

We were taking the back-roads along the riverfront and around Joe Louis Arena, where the Detroit Red Wings--our hockey team--play. All of a sudden a vehicle whipped out in front of us while the driver chit-chatted on his cell phone. My co-worker had to swerve his black cherry SRX, which I’ve affectionately nicknamed the Bat Mobile, to avoid side-swiping this guy.

I turned to give the guy a dirty look and realized it was Dominik Hasek, goalie for the Detroit Red Wings!

Dominator, get a driver! Get a hands-free device! Better yet, get a fine GM product with OnStar! (Though he did get a few props for being in a Chrysler product.)

P.S. The Wings won last night. 6-1. It's still pre-season, but nice work Dom and the team. The Tigers won too. 8-0 with Maggs and Polly as hot as ever.
