Fall is on its way--if the chill in the air wasn't a dead giveaway, the soybeans turning brown definitely serve as a sign.I spent the day at my country estate (a.k.a. my Mom's house.) What a blessing to have a rural respite from the urban metropolis.
Mom and I planted a small vegetable garden in the spring and have been enjoying the fruits of our labor all summer. Today we picked some tomatoes, peppers, basil, chives and thyme.

looks like a wonderful harvest! Homegrown food is the best!
And, it was sad to see all of the browning cornstalks on the way home...fall is definitely here.
