Took the afternoon off and went to my first Tigers game in two years! It was such a gift and such a fun time with a dear friend. It wasn't looking very promising; all morning it poured rain and was chilly. But we PeopleMoved over to the CoPa and thought worse case, we'd have a hot dog in the concourse, and stay for a few innings. Little did we know that we had tickets to the Champions Club (little did we know there was such a place!) So we had seats inside and outside, and all the hot dogs, nachos, pizza and diet coke we could put down...which was a good thing because the first 7 innings were kinda a bummer....at one point the Royals had 13 hits on the board, to our 4...but then....oh yeah....our scrappy little hometeam turned it on, the sun came out and we scored 6 runs in the 7th to win the game.
In case you wondered, I'm sticking with Magglio Ordonez as my Tiger-tiger, but I did pick a new Who's My Tiger pitcher, to replace Nate...Valverde is my man (pictured above). Why? Cuz he has cool glasses like Nate, has the Spanish word for 'green' (my favorite color) in his name...and he closed the game like a winner today!
...we're all behind our baseball team....go get'em Tigers!
