Star Struck

Sit me next to a famous Hollywood actress during brunch in Paris, and I’ll hardly flinch. But put me within 10 feet of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Concertmaster, and watch me turn into a giggling, star-struck girl.

That’s what happened to Rebekah and I on Sunday at the DSO. Emmanuelle Boisvert gave a stunning performance of the Violin Concerto by John Williams. It was so good that even this not-always-a-fan-of-John-Williams-sound caught her breath a few times.

Emmanuelle was generous enough to greet her fans in the atrium of Symphony Hall during the intermission. Since Rebekah and I have been enjoying Ms. Boisvert and our other DSO ‘friends’ for years, we thought it would be fun to say hello.

So we got in line…and then got the giggles…….and then chickened out.

Oh well. It makes a better story this way, I think. Don’t you?

thanks for such a fun afternoon!

I think your stalker photo is even better than a real photo with the three of us in it :)

You were able to go up to Ellis, no problem... what up? (Even though the picture that we did get with the 3 of us actually was kind a stalker photo...)
