Time for work. And realize the threat of bankruptcy seems less harrowing when tempered by 8:00 AM bubbly. Ha! Smile.

Lunch on another sunny terrace with colleagues. Run into old friend on the way out. So nice. Smile.

Back to work. A little less of a smile.

Conference call with Detroit. And even with all the bad news this week, folks were so generous with birthday wishes. Missed MO’s Magic Bars though! Smile.

Run by market to purchase ice cream for evening’s soiree with dearios. Speak to Mom. Read facebook birthday greetings.  Smile.

Friends start arriving for chill-out hang-out goodness. Spend evening surrounded by many of the most delightful and beautiful friends I have in Brussels. Chat. Drink a little more bubbly. Laugh. Turn anything that will hold water into a vase because said friends lavished me with fresh flowery goodness. Listen to friends sing Happy Birthday taking in every note with glee. Laugh. Eat ice cream with sprinkles. Smile.
