Andrea posted a video on her Cupcakes for Breakfast blog about Alice Waters. I like Alice Waters too. I like her simple, sustainable approach to food…and life, I suspect. A really interesting thought-provoking interview. Reminded me of a couple things. One, my friend Jeff. Even after our relationship went kaput, his influence on many of my food choices (and how I stack my fork/knife) remain. It also reminded me of the summer I worked on a small vegetable and flower farm. Many warm evenings at dusk, we’d wander out into the fields to pick fresh basil. I can see the color of the orange sky and smell the earthy basil aroma.
Ahhhhh….

Omg - I used Alice Waters in my last piece of art! Ahhh, I still remember the stories of that farm - and your description of the flowers as they dried!
