For a variety of reasons, my heart is tender. Lately everywhere I go, something touches me deeply, sparks some feeling of gratitude, or reminds me of all the blessings flying by me on any given day.
And it does not take much.
It could be the old man who pulls his cart past my windows every morning and evening. I don’t know where he is going or where he has been, but I respect his consistency and independence.
It could be watching the amaryllis bulb on my coffee table growing an inch each time I notice it as I eagerly wait its beautiful bloom.
Or being in church looking around at people and dreaming with God about what He wants to do in and with their lives.
It could be sitting around a table with friends enjoying a meal and bursts of big laughter. And being warm, happy and totally in the moment.
So please excuse me if you see me and my eyes fill with tears. They're not sad tears, just straight from the heart tears.
Because everywhere I go, I see You.
