Fingerprints

On Wednesday, I had to take a stroll over to the police station to be fingerprinted. Long story.
But I walked in and weaved my way through security--after assuring an officer that while I do work for GM, I cannot get him 50% off a vehicle. Rode the elevator to the 4th floor. And then waited patiently for someone to pay some attention to me.

Finally, some nice officer noticed me standing there and provided me with the form and the required black pen to fill it out. Then he escorted me to a tiny room straight out of 1970's. He proceeded to roll the ink on the pad and take the prints of my ten digits.

Turns out they charge $2 for this service. Well, you know me, I never have cash. So, I started to explain that I'd have to run to the nearest ATM and return to pick up my prints. He kindly told me not to worry about it.

I love nice people.
