Creating Together

Speaking of collaborating with friends…there was a little bit of that going on here in Brussels last week.

Yesterday was All Well at The Well. All Well is kinda as close to a “typical” church service as we get here. And I suppose it’s only typical in that usually there is a screen with some songs and someone stands at the front to teach for a bit. Other than that, all bets are off. It’s awesome.

We’ve been talking about rest a la Hebrews 4 for the past month, so last night we took a Journey into Rest, complete with six hands-on worship stations to travel through in order to help one another think about or experience rest in a different way.

And I got to help brainstorm, plan and create parts of worships stations with some friends here. It’s always so cool to see something go from a couple of friends sitting on a couch coming up with a bazillion crazy ideas to a few more friends turning those ideas into reality to finally watching a bunch more friends interact with some of God’s truth in different, and hopefully helpful, ways.

Here are a few pictures of Fi and I cutting, pasting and painting on Saturday night in preparation. Good times.

Painting big pieces of paper black is a technical skill that few people possess. Thank goodness I was there to help you...
