It Takes a Village
My friends have been so great lately indulging me with lots of fun hangout time. Saturday was a big fun. My Mom came over early and we puttered around. It’s so handy having her retired—she’s sorta my personal shopper, seamstress and packing pal all rolled into one. Then we hung out with my 5-year old neighbor for a couple hours. Have I mentioned what a great building I live in? Later it was off to a guitar lesson—at the end of the month I’ll have been studying for about 2 years. Love it! And then back to the D for dinner at Cass CafĂ©, a movie and lots of laughs with friends.
Highlights included:
-whining my way through yet another lesson -frog cookies from Alli
-dropping off donations with Nicole
-non-Vernors Vernors
-sowing with Sophie
-Carrie finishing the sowing project Thanks friends!

I wish I could have been there at your brunch! Let me know when you want to hang out this week. I've got Wed-Fri free : )
I counted 5 different people getting on international flights with guitars at Metro and 2 in Houston. I think you're safe!
I heard the staff of Cass Cafe recently came across this article and decided they would break the region's dependence on Vernors by making their own spectacular Ginger Drink and slipping it in under the radar.

Back to the drawing board, oh Staff o Cass Cafe. Your plot has been foiled! Any Metro-Detroiter with a tongue (and a nose) knows what you're up to!
They should try including just a hint of ginger next time then!! ;-)
