Lia and I became friends at Tufts, and would meet at a cafe near Lia and Dan's house in Arlington called Quebrada. They had the most amazing coffee (and treats!). It was during these morning meetings that we'd discuss news, assignments, life or how to change the world.
Lia and I have lost touch, but I smile to remember her and the good times we shared.
And I smile to remember those grad school years.
As long as I'm walking down memory lane. The summer before I started grad school, I moved up to Boston to intern at Save the Harbor/Save the Bay. It was a super hot summer, and my apartment did not have air conditioning. On my days off, I would go out to Walden Pond, hike out to a quiet spot, and go for a swim in the cool water. Priceless.
