Onward!

I just started reading Onward: How Starbucks Fought for Its Life without Losing Its Soul by Howard Schultz today.

Like many others, I have a love/hate relationship with Starbucks. But I'd read a few reviews of this book and couldn't resist giving it a read. The 'restorative' in me loves that Schultz saw the problem in their company and went after turning things around.

I suspect you'll be reading more the further into the book I go, but for now, enjoy this quote:

'There are moments in our lives when we summon the courage to make choices that go against reason, against common sense and the wise counsel of people we trust. But we lean forward nonetheless because, despite all the risks and rational argument, we believe that the path we are choosing is the right and best thing to do. We refuse to be bystanders, even if we do not know exactly where our actions with lead.'
