Catching up on some emails from last week and was saddened to read that Colin Hubbell, urban developer and one of Detroit's biggest supporters, passed away.
My current (former?) neighborhood, Midtown (or Cass Corridor to the rest of us) has Mr. Hubbell to thank for much of the energy and revitalization in our part of town. It's thanks to people like him that the rest of us were able to catch a bit of the vision for what Detroit can be again.
No doubt he'll be missed, but no doubt his passion for the D will carry on.
